Last Wednesday I signed the Incorporation papers for "Imaginary Sam Incorporated". Our main focus is going to be the publishing of theraputic children's books. The first series is simply on imagination play and creativity with a recycling touch. The second is a deeper dive into childhood trauma with Helping Monsters that provide safe coping mechanisms. The third will be more along the soothing bedtime variety, but that will help parents and guardians of difficult children relax as well.
At least, that is the plan.
I am also writing the first draft of a proposal for a Therapy Center for disabled youth with the working title "Annie's Place" for the Driving Force of the Idea, Annie Foster. She is an incredible young woman living with Cerebral Palsy. Through one of the wish granting entities that work with disabled people she has been granted an audience with Sen. Hillary Clinton and President Clinton in September and she wants to present the proposal to them during that visit.
So, no pressure there.
I am here to find support for these ventures, both Imaginary Sam and Annie's Place are ideas born out of a need to help more than I am able out of my humble kitchen. So, I am taking my healing out into the world, but boy is that expensive. Insurance alone, just in case, is a mountain of money. I am confident, and motivated, and so ready to make a helping difference in the world that I can taste it.
